Description
All healthcare staff have a role in the success of Lean in healthcare. But clinical groups, in particular, play a key part in encouraging and leading service improvement agendas such as QIPP . The content focuses on:
- Overview of Lean – beyond ‘tools and techniques’ – and its context in a healthcare setting;
- Benefits of Lean to clinical groups – particularly patient quality and safety;
- Roles and activities for clinicians involved in Lean;
- Action plan for clinicians in Lean;
- Starting point for Lean: whole pathway or single department?
This Master Class is led by Dr Alastair Williamson, a consultant anaesthetist and experienced Lean practitioner in the NHS.
