Master Class Schedule

The Background
Acquiring skills and understanding of a subject area usually requires different routes. These routes will depend on the prior knowledge, experience and needs of the individual. Some people simply want an understanding of the concepts and language; while others want go off and apply the concepts in a practical way.

Therefore Alturos has designed three styles of Master Class: Foundation, Intermediate and Practitioner levels.

Foundation Master Classes: develop awareness and conveys the essential concepts of particular aspects of continuous performance improvement and organisational change. Then we create, with the delegates, the context for the application of methods and frameworks.

Intermediate Master Classes: bridges theory and practice. Delegates who have already gained some knowledge and are seeking some practical frameworks will benefit from the intermediate sessions.

Practitioner Master Classes: takes delegates into the operational and strategic application of the frameworks. This style of Master Class will equip delegates with specific, focused techniques that can be immediately applied in their teams, departments and working environments.

Content
Managing and implementing Continuous Improvement and organisational change requires a broad base of skills and knowledge. Each Master Class is ‘stand-alone’ yet can be linked with others and so form a suite of learning and skills according to the needs of individuals.

Whatever the Master Class style there is a significant emphasis on the ‘people’ aspects of successful change management as well as the specific, relevant techniques.

‘At a Glance’
Here are listed the current Master Classes. But more are planned so look at Alturos.co.uk website regularly to get the updates.

General Application

Application to Sectors
Some Master Class content is specific to certain sectors; others will have a wider appeal and be applicable to performance improvement in any sector. Each Master Class is flagged as to whether it is sector-specific or has a general application.

The Facilitators
Every facilitator is chosen for their strong practical background, supported by academic achievement in their specialist field. The knowledge of the facilitators frames the ‘what to do’; for each delegate. The experience of the facilitators then creates the ‘how to do it’ so that at the end of each Master Class delegates will be confident in applying their new knowledge in the context of their particular organisation.

Style
The style of the Master Classes is geared for experienced, professional people. It is a flexible, tutorial approach blended with discussion, case studies and relevant simulations.

Master Class: venues and frequency
Alturos Master Classes are designed for flexibility; so there are 4 locations - Central London, West Midlands, Leeds and Bristol – and these are planned so as to run 4 times each year.
